Twenty-two teams enjoyed a mild spring night and played some trivia! We thought it was Quick Check Chicks` game as they sat atop the leaderboard through Round 4, but then Round 5 happened which threw everything out the window. Two teams had perfect rounds which put them at the top of the heap, but we had to dig deep to break the tie because they both guessed the same number for the tie-breaker, they scored identically in Rounds 5 and 4, so we had to go all the way back to Round 3 to find a difference in score to break the tie!

Had some fun tonight with 19 of our closest teams - some great names to boot - Trivial Fursuit, La Triviata and "Did you Enjoy the Show, Mrs. Lincoln?" among our faves. We played with format a little bit with good results, and what seems to be a trend lately, a tiw between 2nd and 3rd.

Sakes alive what a roller coaster of a night! We got to the Mendham Township Library, got everything set up so we had the game on two screens in two different rooms - and once everyone walked in to get started (with all their devices) the wireless HDMI extenders lost connection and after many attempts to get them reconnected, we brought in a second laptop and basically had each screen on its own laptop and we were then able to get the game underway, a little sweatier, but it all worked out in the end. We had a blast asking a libraries and literature themed game and high score got paper crowns and some chocolates, and low score got The Book of Unusual Knowledge to help them prep for the next one! π

So, this is awkward. After a very fun and active game, we had a scoring irregularity at tonight`s game - second place finisher "Full Sandwich and the Busch Gang" - submitted a sheet that had a line thru the answer space so I scored it as "no answer" - but the line was crossed out and there was an answer squeezed off to the side that I missed, and that changed the scoring flopping 1st and 2nd places. Third and fourth place remained unchanged. So, prize-wise things remain as they were in the game, but post-game, and I made two first place slides. π (We also had a tie for third and fourth.)
Oh! And we added a progressive movie question to our repertoire - ID the movie after an obscure still, get 3 points; after a slightly more obvious still, 2 points; obvious still, 1 point.
