What a fun day at Diamond Spring! We started at 3 with a game for JR Cigar`s Employee Appreciation event and then some Pasta Shop and then we played the usual game at 7. And what a game it was! It was written to honor a player of ours who is a big fan of palindromes and Taylor Swift (not in that order), so there was a lot of Tay sprinkled throughout the game, and one of Jeff`s most labored questions for the connection round to get us to the palindrome "No lemons! No melon!"
And don`t even get us started on HETERONYMS! No one got it right and as we were presenting our present of an answer, there were boos. And not just a little! Full throated boos! A mutiny of boos! And we refuse to take any heat because no one knows the different between a homonym and a heteronym! So Jeff did a little insult comedy from a place of love. C`mon - that`s middle school grammar! We all learned it... and then forgot it. But now, you`ll never forget it.
And we had a three-way tie for first, so really these rankings really come down to how far away these great, evenly-matched teams thought the moon is.

It was a night of birthdays and special guests! Well wishes to Anna of the Koozies and Cisco of Captain Kane on their surviving respective trips around the sun!! And thanks to the good folks at @strong_morristown / @Sweathouz over at 70 Speedwell for a cadre of fabulous prizes - first place got 5 free Pilates sessions and 3 Sweathouz sessions, second place a beautiful retail box and third place got one Pilates session and one Sweathouz session. And first place finisher, American Trividiot, played an amazing game tonight - only missing one question! (And we had a tie for second!)
